Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Department of Transport, Haryana, on July 30, 2026, amended an older notification No. 13/15/2010-6T(I), dated September 29, 2017, related to Motor Vehicle Tax Rebate for Electric and CNG Vehicles.

The following has been stated: -

•The Haryana Government has amended its motor vehicle tax notification to revise tax rebates for new vehicle registrations. 

•Under the revised provisions, 100% motor vehicle tax exemption will be available for new registrations of electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers with an ex-showroom price of up to ₹30 lakh, while vehicles priced above ₹30 lakh will receive a 50% tax exemption. 

•Additionally, new CNG vehicles purchased in Haryana will be eligible for a 20% rebate in motor vehicle tax at the time of registration. 

•The amendment aims to promote the adoption of cleaner and environmentally friendly vehicles in the State.
